Member Demographic Data

The FBC has implemented a policy change regarding member demographic data for purposes of performance measurement.  This change will impact the collection process and sources of demographic data beginning with FY07 performance data.

A form has been distributed to member governments to collect data described below.  This form must be submitted by Friday, November 16, 2007.  To request a copy of this form, please contact Dan Dill at dbdill@mail.ucf.edu.

Why is it important to submit this form?

Daily service populations (DSP): If your government is using a DSP and you would like FY07 performance measures referencing population to reflect the DSP, your government must submit a DSP value and the formula utilized to generate this value to the FBC by the above deadline.  This data cannot be submitted during or after data collection.

Extra-/sub-jurisdictional populations:
If your government provides services outside jurisdictional boundaries or to a subset of the population within jurisdictional boundaries and you would like to account for related populations/land areas in FY07 performance data, you must provide respective data by the above deadline.  This data cannot be submitted during or after data collection.

Member governments should submit one form per government to Dan Dill (dbdill@mail.ucf.edu) by the deadline to ensure your government’s performance is appropriately adjusted for the above population variances.

If a form is not submitted by the deadline, BEBR (Bureau of Economic and Business Research) and FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) data will be utilized to populate FY07 performance measures referencing population and land area for your government.
