Important Notice to FBC Members: Change in FY06 Data Collection Method
In order to more efficiently serve the needs of member organizations, the FBC Steering Committee has opted to change the method of data submission for the upcoming FY06 submission period. Rather than utilizing Pilot Software's Metrics Manager, member organizations will submit data via Microsoft Excel (see 'FY06 Data Collection Template', below). It is anticipated that this change will decrease the amount time allotted by government representatives for data collection and submission.
Remember, data submission begins Tuesday, January 16, 2007! All data must be received by Friday, February 16, 2007.
Demographic Data
With the exception of FR measures, all demographic data utilized for calculating measures should be obtained from the file linked below. An exception is made for FR measures because associated FR services (emergency response, firefighting, EMS, etc.) are frequently extended across city and county boundaries. Thus, demographic values submitted for FR measures should represent the population served by respective governments for these services. Where applicable, persons entering FR data should indicate demographic values used for calculating measures in the comment area provided in the data collection template.
